Residents of all ages living in Brantford, Brant County and Six Nations or those working in Brantford can become digital or full members. Anyone 16-years and under must have a guardian’s consent.
How long do memberships last?
Full adult, children’s and senior’s memberships last for two years and can be renewed anytime.
Digital memberships last for one year. At any time, a digital member can visit one of our branches and convert to a full membership.
Can I apply for a membership for my child?
Yes! Membership is open to residents of all ages.
I haven't used my membership in years, do I need to reapply?
Most likely. The library frequently purges old accounts that haven’t been used for a few years. Try the online form or visit or call the library at (519) 756-2220 ext. 2 to confirm.
I already have a Brantford Public Library membership. Do I need to get a digital membership to access the digital library's content?
If you already have a membership and regularly borrow materials like books and DVDs, you already have full access to all of our digital collection and services. Please visit or call the library at (519) 756-2220 ext. 2, if you have questions about accessing these services.
